Data Engineer (Associate – Analytics Engineering)

About This Role

Fractal Analytics is hiring Associate Data Engineers for its Analytics Engineering practice. Fractal is a global AI company serving Fortune 500 clients in CPG, BFSI, healthcare, and technology. You will build analytics engineering platforms that power Fractal's AI/ML models — designing data pipelines, feature stores, and analytical datasets using dbt, Snowflake, and Spark.

Key Responsibilities

• Build dbt transformation models for Snowflake and BigQuery cloud data warehouses
• Develop PySpark ETL pipelines on Databricks for CPG demand forecasting and customer analytics datasets
• Design feature engineering pipelines for ML model input using pandas, PySpark, and Feast feature store
• Implement data quality testing using dbt Tests, Great Expectations, and custom SQL assertions
• Write complex SQL for analytical aggregations, window functions, and cohort analysis
• Build data catalogues using Apache Atlas or Alation for client data governance programmes

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Interest in analytics engineering, ML data infrastructure, and feature pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data warehouse concepts
• Good analytical thinking and curiosity about business data problems
