About This Role
Mu Sigma is hiring Trainee Decision Scientists with a Data Engineering specialisation. Mu Sigma is India's largest pure-play analytics company, serving 140+ Fortune 500 clients including Walmart, Microsoft, Dell, and Comcast. As a Trainee Decision Scientist, you will build data pipelines and analytical datasets that power business decisions at global companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL for client analytical environments
- Develop data wrangling scripts to clean, validate, and transform large retail, supply chain, and marketing datasets
- Design and maintain data pipelines on AWS (S3, EMR, Redshift) for client data lake implementations
- Write advanced SQL queries for data exploration, cohort analysis, and funnel analytics
- Build automated data quality checks and anomaly detection pipelines for production datasets
- Collaborate with Decision Scientists and data visualisation teams to understand data consumption patterns
Requirements & Skills
- B.Tech/M.Tech in CS, Mathematics, Statistics, or related engineering field from a reputed institution (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills
- Aptitude for data problem-solving and statistical thinking
- Good communication skills for client-facing data engineering work
- Willingness to work with diverse global client datasets across industries
