Data Engineer (Analyst – Insights & Data)

About This Role

Capgemini India is hiring Analyst-level Data Engineers for its Insights & Data practice. Capgemini's data engineering teams build analytical data platforms for global automotive, energy, retail, and financial services clients. You will use PySpark, dbt, Snowflake, and cloud-native tools to build pipelines that power executive dashboards and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities

• Build PySpark ETL pipelines on Databricks and Azure Synapse for large-scale data transformation
• Develop dbt data transformation models for Snowflake and Azure Synapse data warehouses
• Design and implement data lake medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) on Azure ADLS Gen2
• Write complex SQL for analytical data models and aggregate reporting layers
• Implement CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Build data catalogues and business glossaries in Microsoft Purview or Apache Atlas

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/IT/ECE/EE with 60%+ from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; PySpark or Databricks experience is preferred
• Understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and ETL/ELT patterns
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in global delivery models
• Cleared Capgemini's fresher data engineering selection process
