Data Engineer (Associate Software Engineer)

About This Role

Accenture India is hiring Associate Software Engineers specialising in Data Engineering for its Data & AI practice. You will build cloud data platforms for Accenture's global clients — migrating legacy data warehouses to Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery; building real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka; and enabling analytics that drive business decisions for Fortune 500 companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Spark, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or dbt
• Develop data lake solutions on AWS S3, Azure ADLS, or Google Cloud Storage using Parquet and Delta Lake formats
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries on Snowflake, BigQuery, or Synapse for analytical workloads
• Implement data quality validation and master data management (MDM) frameworks
• Orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory scheduling
• Support data migration from Oracle, Teradata, and IBM Db2 warehouses to modern cloud platforms

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT, or Data Science from a recognised university (2024/2025/2026 batch)
• Programming skills in Python and SQL; PySpark experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and database concepts
• Analytical mindset with ability to understand complex data transformation requirements
• Good communication skills for client-facing project delivery
