About This Role
Goldman Sachs India is hiring New Graduate Data Engineers (Analyst level) for its Engineering Division. You will build data infrastructure supporting Goldman's global trading operations, risk management, asset management, and client analytics — working with Python, Spark, and Goldman's proprietary Marquee data platform used by institutional investors worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Build financial data pipelines ingesting market data, trade confirmations, and reference data from global exchanges
- Develop PySpark and Python ETL frameworks processing multi-terabyte trade and position data daily
- Design dimensional data models in Snowflake for trading analytics and client reporting
- Implement data quality validation and regulatory data lineage for GDPR and BCBS 239 compliance
- Build APIs exposing structured datasets via Goldman's Marquee data platform to institutional clients
- Optimise complex SQL and Spark query performance for real-time and near-real-time data SLAs
Requirements & Skills
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics from a top-tier institution (2025/2026 batch)
- Exceptional Python and SQL programming skills
- Understanding of financial data types: market data, trade lifecycle, risk analytics
- Familiarity with big data processing (Spark) and cloud data platforms
- Strong analytical rigour and attention to data accuracy in regulated environments
