About This Role
Google India is hiring New Graduate Data Engineers to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers Search, Ads, YouTube, Maps, and Google Cloud. You will design large-scale batch and streaming pipelines, build reliable data warehouses, and make petabyte-scale datasets accessible to Google product teams and advertisers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Beam, Dataflow, and BigQuery
- Develop streaming data pipelines using Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka, and Dataflow streaming jobs
- Build and maintain data models and schemas in BigQuery for analytical workloads
- Implement data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and SLA alerting for critical pipelines
- Collaborate with product analysts, ML engineers, and software engineers on data requirements
- Write robust Python and SQL code for data transformation and orchestration with Apache Airflow
Requirements & Skills
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Data Science, or related engineering field (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Understanding of distributed data processing systems (MapReduce, Spark, or Beam)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, columnar storage, and query optimisation
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience building data pipelines in academic projects or internships is a strong plus
