Sustainability Analyst – Interface Inc.
Interface is the world's largest manufacturer of commercial carpet tiles and a global sustainability pioneer, having committed to Mission Zero in 1994 — pledging to eliminate all negative environmental impact by 2020 (achieved) — and now pursuing Climate Take Back, a mission to reverse global warming. Interface was the first major manufacturer to achieve carbon neutrality across its full product lifecycle and is renowned for its radical transparency in sustainability reporting. We are hiring a Sustainability Analyst in Atlanta to support Interface's world-leading sustainability programs and next-generation carbon negative product ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Support Interface's annual sustainability report and ESG data collection across its global manufacturing operations and product portfolio
- Manage Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions inventory for Interface's carpet tile manufacturing facilities globally
- Conduct product life-cycle assessment (LCA) analyses for Interface's carpet tile products using SimaPro or OpenLCA software
- Support development and maintenance of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for Interface's modular flooring products
- Track Interface's progress toward carbon negativity commitments — monitoring renewable energy, recycled content, and supply chain decarbonization metrics
- Engage with building architects and LEED-pursuing customers on Interface's sustainability credentials and product carbon data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Ecology, Sustainability, or Chemical Engineering
- Understanding of life-cycle assessment (LCA) methodology and environmental product declarations
- Knowledge of GHG accounting and manufacturing sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB)
- LEED Green Associate or AP certification is a strong plus
- Genuine passion for circular economy and regenerative business models
