Corporate Responsibility Analyst – REI Co-op

REI's corporate responsibility programs span environmental stewardship, responsible product sourcing, workforce equity, and community investment. We are hiring a Corporate Responsibility Analyst in Seattle to advance REI's ambitious sustainability agenda.
Responsibilities
- Support REI's annual Stewardship Report preparation — tracking progress on environmental, social, and governance commitments
- Manage REI's Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions inventory covering retail stores, distribution centers, and supply chain operations
- Conduct responsible sourcing analysis and supplier sustainability audits across REI's private label product supply chain
- Support REI's outdoor recreation advocacy work — tracking policy developments in public lands, trail access, and environmental conservation
- Develop ESG metrics tracking REI's progress toward workforce diversity, pay equity, and inclusive outdoor community goals
- Respond to ESG investor, media, and NGO inquiries on REI's sustainability practices and co-op governance model
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or Social Sciences
- Genuine passion for the outdoors, environmental conservation, and REI's co-op mission
- Understanding of corporate sustainability, responsible sourcing, and ESG frameworks
- Strong research, writing, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Excel for sustainability data management and reporting
