Sustainability Analyst – Dominion Energy
Dominion Energy (NYSE: D) is one of the largest producers and distributors of energy in the US, serving 7+ million customers across 13 states with electricity and natural gas. Dominion has committed to net-zero carbon and methane emissions by 2050 and is building one of the first and largest offshore wind projects in the US — the 2.6 GW Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project — a $10B investment in clean energy. We are hiring Sustainability Analysts in Richmond to support Dominion's ESG reporting, climate strategy, and clean energy transition programs.
Responsibilities
- Support Dominion Energy's annual Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Report preparation and third-party assurance process
- Collect, verify, and analyze Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions data from Dominion's power generation and gas distribution operations
- Manage responses to CDP Climate Change, CDP Water Security, and CDP Supply Chain questionnaires
- Support Dominion's offshore wind sustainability reporting and supply chain social responsibility programs
- Conduct ESG benchmarking analysis comparing Dominion's sustainability performance to peer utilities
- Research emerging ESG disclosure standards and assess implications for Dominion's reporting strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field
- Knowledge of GHG accounting, energy sector ESG issues, and sustainability reporting frameworks
- Proficiency in Excel for data collection and GHG inventory management
- Strong written communication skills for sustainability report preparation
- Understanding of clean energy policies and utility sector regulatory environment
