Sustainability & ESG Analyst – Guidehouse

Guidehouse's Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure practice advises federal agencies, utilities, and Fortune 500 companies on clean energy transition, sustainability strategy, and ESG risk management. We are hiring Sustainability & ESG Analysts in Arlington, VA to expand this high-growth practice area.
Responsibilities
- Support ESG strategy and reporting engagements for Guidehouse's corporate and government clients
- Develop GHG emissions inventories and net-zero transition roadmaps using GHG Protocol and SBTi methodologies
- Conduct ESG materiality assessments identifying the most financially material sustainability topics for client industries
- Prepare corporate sustainability reports and ESG disclosures aligned to GRI, SASB, TCFD, and ISSB frameworks
- Support US federal agency sustainability programs including the Federal Sustainability Plan and agency climate adaptation planning
- Analyze ESG regulations (SEC climate disclosure rule, EU CSRD, state laws) and prepare regulatory readiness assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or Sustainability
- Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and GHG accounting
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Excellent written communication for client-ready reports and presentations
- US citizenship preferred for federal agency consulting projects
