Sustainability Consultant – Boston Consulting Group (BCG)

Responsibilities
- Advise corporate clients on sustainability strategy — developing net-zero roadmaps, science-based emissions targets, and circular economy business models
- Conduct carbon footprint assessments (Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions) and identify decarbonization levers across clients' value chains
- Develop ESG reporting frameworks helping clients meet ISSB, EU CSRD, and SEC climate disclosure requirements
- Analyze sustainability market trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive ESG positioning for client strategy development
- Build financial models quantifying the business value of sustainability initiatives (green premium, carbon credits, circular economy savings)
- Present sustainability findings and recommendations to C-suite executives and board sustainability committees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field (top academic record required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excel modeling and structured analytical thinking
- Genuine passion for sustainability and understanding of climate science, energy transition, and circular economy
- Excellent communication skills for executive-level sustainability presentations
- Consulting internship experience or prior strategy work experience is a plus
