Data Engineer – Early Career – SAP America

We are hiring Early Career Data Engineers at SAP's US headquarters in Newtown Square, PA to build enterprise data solutions on SAP's Business Technology Platform.
Responsibilities
- Build SAP Datasphere data integration pipelines — connecting SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and third-party cloud data sources into SAP's unified business data fabric
- Develop SAP HANA data models and calculation views enabling real-time analytical queries over SAP ERP transactional data
- Implement SAP Data Intelligence (MLOps) data pipelines orchestrating data preparation, model training, and scoring workflows on SAP's cloud platform
- Build SAP Analytics Cloud data connections and acquisition jobs enabling real-time planning, predictive analytics, and embedded BI over SAP and non-SAP data
- Develop custom SAP BTP extensions using CDS (Core Data Services) views and OData APIs connecting SAP ERP data to external analytics platforms
- Support SAP's professional services team implementing enterprise data architecture for SAP customers migrating to S/4HANA on cloud
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or Data Engineering
- SQL proficiency and interest in enterprise data management and ERP systems
- Python skills for data pipeline development and SAP BTP automation
- Exposure to SAP systems (SAP ERP, SAP HANA, SAP BW) through coursework, internship, or certification is a strong plus
- Understanding of enterprise business processes (finance, supply chain, HR) is valuable for SAP data modeling work
