Data Engineer – Entry Level – Collibra

We are hiring Entry Level Data Engineers in New York to build the data infrastructure powering Collibra's intelligence platform.
Responsibilities
- Build Collibra's data ingestion connectors — implementing metadata harvest from on-premise databases, cloud warehouses, and SaaS applications into the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud
- Develop Collibra's automated lineage extraction pipeline — parsing SQL, ETL job logs, and API calls to automatically construct end-to-end data lineage graphs
- Implement Collibra's data quality monitoring integration — connecting Monte Carlo, Soda, and Great Expectations data quality scores to Collibra's trust score framework
- Build Collibra's workflow automation engine triggering data stewardship tasks, approval workflows, and certification processes based on governance policy rules
- Develop Collibra's REST APIs and webhook platform enabling integrations with dbt, Apache Atlas, Alation, and enterprise ITSM systems
- Support enterprise financial services customers implementing BCBS 239 data lineage requirements and GDPR data subject access request automation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Engineering
- Python and SQL proficiency for data pipeline and API development
- Understanding of data governance concepts: data catalog, business glossary, lineage, and data quality
- Familiarity with enterprise data regulations (GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239) is a plus
- Strong communication skills for working with enterprise data governance teams at financial services clients
