Associate Data Engineer – Teradata

We are hiring Associate Data Engineers in San Diego to build enterprise analytics solutions on the world's most powerful analytical platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise data warehouse schemas in Teradata Vantage — building primary index strategies, partitioned primary indexes, and join indexes for analytical query optimization
- Develop data integration pipelines using Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) and Teradata QueryGrid for cross-platform data movement
- Write advanced Teradata SQL and analytical functions — implementing statistical analyses, time-series forecasting, and path analysis using Teradata's built-in analytic functions
- Build data models supporting financial risk analytics, retail sales forecasting, and telecommunications network analytics for enterprise customers
- Migrate legacy ETL workloads from on-premise Teradata appliances to VantageCloud on AWS and Azure
- Support Teradata's professional services engagements helping Fortune 500 customers modernize their enterprise data architectures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Statistics
- Strong SQL skills including advanced analytics functions, window functions, and query optimization
- Understanding of data warehouse design (star schema, snowflake schema, columnar storage)
- Python or Java skills for ETL pipeline development
- Analytical mindset with interest in enterprise-scale database engineering
