Software Engineer – Backend (University Grad) – CrowdStrike

We are hiring University Grad Backend Engineers to build the security platform protecting the world from cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Build CrowdStrike Falcon platform backend in Go and Python — implementing threat intelligence ingest, indicator of compromise (IOC) matching, and prevention policy enforcement
- Develop Falcon platform data pipeline services processing 1 trillion+ security events daily — using Kafka, Flink, and ClickHouse for real-time threat event streaming and analytics
- Build CrowdStrike Threat Graph database backend — implementing the graph database connecting 7B+ endpoints, identities, and cloud workloads into a unified attack chain visualization
- Implement Falcon Identity Protection backend — integrating with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Okta to detect identity-based attacks and credential theft in real time
- Build CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security backend — implementing CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM services securing customers' AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud workloads
- Develop REST APIs and Threat Intelligence feeds enabling CrowdStrike's 400+ technology integrations and partner SIEM/SOAR platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python (CrowdStrike's primary backend languages)
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals: endpoint detection, threat intelligence, or cloud security
- Familiarity with Kafka, ClickHouse, or large-scale streaming data processing
- Interest in cybersecurity engineering and building systems that protect critical infrastructure from nation-state attackers
