Full Stack Developer (Programmer Analyst Trainee)

About This Role

Cognizant is hiring Programmer Analyst Trainees (PATs) specialising in Full Stack Development through its GenC (Generation Cognizant) programme. You will work on digital modernisation projects for Cognizant's global clients, building full-stack applications that replace legacy platforms with cloud-native React and Java/Node.js systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build React.js frontends with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS for enterprise web portals
• Develop Spring Boot (Java) or Express (Node.js) REST APIs integrated with relational and NoSQL databases
• Implement microservices architecture with Docker and deploy on AWS ECS or Azure App Service
• Write unit and integration tests achieving project-defined coverage targets
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing sessions

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA from a recognised university with 60%+ (2025/2026 batch)
• Programming skills in Java or JavaScript; basic React or Node.js knowledge
• Understanding of SQL fundamentals, REST concepts, and web development basics
• Good analytical ability and a growth mindset
• Cleared Cognizant GenC Next assessment for Digital tracks
