Full Stack Software Engineer (SDE I)

About This Role

Amazon India is hiring Software Development Engineers (SDE I) for full-stack roles across its Consumer, AWS, and Devices divisions. You will own end-to-end features — from designing the UX in React to writing backend services in Java, deploying them on AWS, and measuring impact with real customer data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship full-stack features end-to-end with minimal guidance
• Build backend microservices using Java or Python, deployed on AWS (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB)
• Develop responsive React/TypeScript frontends integrated with internal APIs
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests; maintain high code coverage
• Participate in operational excellence: on-call rotation, alarm triage, and runbook maintenance
• Contribute to technical design documents and code reviews for team features

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong DSA fundamentals: trees, graphs, dynamic programming, system design basics
• Proficiency in Java or Python for backend development
• Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development
• Understanding of AWS cloud services, REST APIs, and distributed systems concepts
• High ownership mindset and ability to deliver independently
