Network Engineer I – Cisco Systems

Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN networks using Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and SD-WAN
- Monitor network performance and availability using Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds, or equivalent tools
- Implement network security controls including VLANs, ACLs, firewalls, and VPN configurations
- Support cloud networking integrations with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and change management records in ITSM systems
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network incident response
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- CCNA certification (required) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, QoS
- Hands-on lab experience with Cisco equipment or Cisco Packet Tracer/GNS3 simulation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
