Data Analyst – Supply Chain & Inventory – The Home Depot
The Home Depot is the world's largest home improvement retailer with 2,300+ stores in North America and $153B in annual revenue. Our Atlanta headquarters' Supply Chain Analytics team is seeking a Data Analyst to optimize the flow of $80B+ in annual product inventory — from thousands of suppliers through our distribution centers and direct to customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory levels, replenishment cycles, and stock-out rates across Home Depot's store network and distribution centers
- Build predictive demand models to optimize product ordering and reduce excess inventory costs
- Monitor supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery, fill rates, shrink, and carrier performance
- Support seasonal demand planning analytics for major retail events (spring, holiday, hurricane season)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation routing, carrier selection, and distribution center throughput
- Create Power BI and Tableau dashboards for supply chain leadership and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or Statistics
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience working with inventory or ERP system data
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA automation
- Familiarity with Python or R for demand forecasting and statistical analysis
- Supply chain or retail analytics internship experience is a strong plus
