Data Analyst – Driver Operations – Uber
Uber is the world's largest rideshare and delivery platform, operating in 70+ countries and connecting hundreds of millions of riders, drivers, and eaters. We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Driver Operations team in San Francisco — ensuring that Uber's global network of 6+ million drivers is earning well, operating efficiently, and growing.
Responsibilities
- Analyze driver earnings, utilization rates, acceptance rates, and retention metrics across global markets
- Build dashboards and automated reports tracking driver supply health across major cities
- Evaluate the impact of driver incentive programs, earnings guarantees, and promotions through A/B testing
- Identify driver churn patterns and develop predictive models to proactively identify at-risk drivers
- Collaborate with marketplace, product, and operations teams to optimize supply-demand balance
- Support city-level operations teams with ad hoc data requests and market-specific analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field
- Strong SQL and Python skills for large-scale data analysis
- Experience with Presto, Hive, or Spark SQL for querying distributed data systems
- Experience with marketplace dynamics, supply-demand analytics, or gig economy platforms is a plus
- Strong communication skills — able to translate operational metrics into executive narratives
