Data Analyst – Network Performance – Verizon

We are seeking a Data Analyst on our Network Performance Analytics team in Basking Ridge, NJ — helping ensure that Verizon's network delivers the exceptional reliability and speed our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Analyze 5G, LTE, and broadband network performance datasets to identify coverage gaps, congestion points, and quality degradation
- Build automated KPI dashboards (signal quality, throughput, latency, call drop rates) for network operations teams
- Conduct geospatial analysis using GIS tools to map network performance trends by geography
- Support capacity planning analytics by forecasting traffic growth and infrastructure demand
- Identify root causes of network performance issues through deep-dive data investigations
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports for senior network engineering leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience analyzing time-series and geospatial data
- Python or R skills for statistical analysis and data visualization
- Familiarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus for geospatial network analysis
- Ability to explain technical network metrics to non-technical business stakeholders
