About This Role
CRED — India's most design-obsessed fintech unicorn and the preferred app of India's high-creditworthy population — is hiring exceptional fresh engineering graduates as Software Development Engineers I to build CRED's credit card management, lending, commerce, and financial wellness products with the highest standards of engineering craft in India's startup ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Build CRED's core app features — credit card bill payments, credit score management, CRED Pay, and rewards ecosystem
- Develop CRED's lending products — CRED Cash, CRED Flash (BNPL), and credit line distribution platform
- Work on CRED's commerce platform — CRED Store, CRED Travel, and curated brand partnerships
- Build high-performance backend services using Go, Java, or Kotlin — handling millions of financial transactions with strict consistency and reliability requirements
- Contribute to CRED's real-time data platform — event-driven architecture, Kafka streams, and ML feature pipelines
- Uphold CRED's engineering excellence standards — rigorous code reviews, comprehensive testing, and zero-downtime deployments
Requirements & Skills
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in CS or IT from a highly reputed institution — 2024/2025 batch
- Exceptional programming skills and strong algorithmic thinking
- Genuine passion for engineering craft — writing clean, performant, well-tested code
- Interest in fintech, consumer internet, or product engineering at high quality bars
- Strong academic performance — typically IIT/BITS/IIIT caliber
