Software Engineer – New Grad

About This Role

Microsoft India — the Indian engineering arm of the world's most valuable technology company — is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Software Engineers (New Grad) to build Azure cloud services, Microsoft 365, GitHub, and other Microsoft products from its India Development Center (IDC) in Hyderabad and engineering hubs in Bengaluru and Noida.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship features for Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Office), GitHub, or Xbox cloud services
• Own end-to-end engineering deliverables — architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Build highly reliable and scalable cloud services operating at global scale on Azure infrastructure
• Collaborate with global engineering teams in Redmond (USA), Dublin (Ireland), and India on shared product platforms
• Apply AI/ML capabilities — integrate Azure OpenAI, Copilot, and GitHub Copilot into product experiences
• Participate in Microsoft's engineering excellence culture — code reviews, design reviews, and security reviews

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in CS or IT — 2024/2025 batch
• Strong programming skills in C++, C#, Java, or Python
• Excellent data structures, algorithms, and system design skills
• Understanding of cloud computing, distributed systems, and software engineering principles
• Must clear Microsoft's SWE technical interview — typically 4–5 rounds including design and coding
