Job Overview

As a Software Engineer Trainee at TCS, you will undergo the industry-renowned TCS Initial Learning Program (ILP) — a 3–6 month onboarding and technical training program — before being deployed on client projects across banking, insurance, retail, manufacturing, or telecom domains. You will work on full-stack development, application support, or digital engineering projects for TCS's global client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications for TCS clients across Java, Python, .NET, or full-stack web technologies
• Write clean, well-documented code following TCS delivery standards and client coding guidelines
• Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies — daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Execute unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution in the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and senior developers on requirement analysis and solution design
• Learn and apply new technologies and platforms as project needs evolve — cloud (AWS/Azure), microservices, APIs

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. in any discipline — 2024/2025 batch
• Consistent academic record — 60% or above throughout (10th, 12th, graduation)
• No active backlogs at time of joining
• Basic programming knowledge in any language (C, C++, Java, Python)
• Good logical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude
• Must qualify TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test) — conducted online across India
