Junior Frontend Engineer

About This Role

ShareChat is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Junior Frontend Engineers to build next-generation social media web experiences for India's 300 million+ vernacular language internet users — working on ShareChat and Moj, India's leading Indian-language social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build ShareChat and Moj web interfaces using React.js — feed, stories, short video (Moj), creator tools, and messaging experiences
• Develop multi-language UI components supporting 15+ Indian languages with bidirectional text and Indic script rendering
• Build high-performance infinite scroll, video feed, and media upload interfaces optimized for low-cost Android devices and 4G networks
• Implement PWA features for offline content access and background sync in intermittent connectivity conditions
• Develop creator monetization tools — virtual gifts, tipping UI, and live commerce features
• A/B test frontend features using ShareChat's experimentation platform for rapid product iteration

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in CS or related field — 2024/2025 graduation
• Strong JavaScript and React.js skills
• Understanding of web performance optimization for resource-constrained devices
• Interest in regional language internet, social media product challenges, or creator economy platforms
• Good problem-solving skills and adaptability to fast product iteration cycles
