Frontend Developer – SDE I

About This Role

Meesho is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Frontend Developers (SDE I) to build the e-commerce web experiences used by 150 million+ Indian shoppers — particularly targeting India's Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with accessible, performant, and regional-language-friendly interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimize Meesho's web application and PWA using React.js and Next.js
• Develop performance-optimized frontend experiences for low-bandwidth network conditions targeting Tier 2/3 India
• Build internationalization (i18n) features supporting Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and other regional languages
• Implement A/B experiment frameworks and feature flag systems for rapid product iteration
• Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) for Meesho's web products
• Work in cross-functional product squads with PMs, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists

Requirements & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in CS or related field — 2024/2025 batch
• Strong JavaScript and React.js skills with hands-on project experience
• Understanding of web performance optimization and rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, CSR)
• Next.js experience or strong interest in learning it
• LeetCode/DSA problem-solving skills — Meesho's interview includes algorithmic rounds
• Empathy for low-income Indian consumer segments and Tier 2/3 market product challenges
