About This Role

Mu Sigma is seeking a sharp and analytically driven Decision Scientist to join its unique analytics-as-a-service model, helping Fortune 500 clients harness data science and decision intelligence to solve their most complex business problems at scale.

Job Overview

As a Mu Sigma Decision Scientist, you will work in multidisciplinary problem-solving teams (called "pods") to structure ambiguous business problems, build analytical models, run experiments, and deliver data-driven recommendations that directly influence billion-dollar business decisions for Mu Sigma's global clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure and decompose complex, ambiguous business problems into analytics-solvable data science workstreams
• Build statistical models, predictive analytics solutions, and optimization algorithms using Python and R
• Design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experimental studies to evaluate business strategy and product decisions
• Develop executive-ready dashboards and data visualization narratives using Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
• Communicate analytical findings and model outputs compellingly to senior client decision-makers
• Apply Mu Sigma's proprietary Decision Sciences frameworks to continuously improve analytical practice

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/MBA/M.Sc. from a top-tier institution in a quantitative discipline
• 1–4 years of analytics, data science, or management consulting experience
• Strong analytical thinking, problem structuring, and hypothesis-driven approach to data
• Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling and data manipulation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for translating data insights into executive narratives
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate large, complex client datasets
