Data Science Engineer

HCL Technologies is seeking a hands-on Data Science Engineer to join its AI and Data Analytics practice, contributing to HCL's mission of engineering transformative AI-powered solutions for global enterprises across industries.

Job Overview

As an HCL Data Science Engineer, you will build end-to-end machine learning systems — from data processing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and scalable deployment — working within HCL's globally distributed AI engineering teams on high-impact client projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate machine learning models for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection tasks
• Develop scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar big data technologies
• Implement model deployment and monitoring using MLOps best practices on cloud or on-premises environments
• Build data visualization dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based visualization libraries
• Collaborate with software engineers and cloud architects to integrate ML models into client applications
• Participate in client workshops and requirement discovery sessions to scope data science deliverables

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a quantitative discipline
• 2–5 years of experience in data science or ML engineering roles
• Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with PySpark is a significant plus
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and big data tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
