Wipro is hiring a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to lead complex analytics and AI engagements within Wipro's AI360 practice — delivering advanced machine learning solutions, NLP applications, and predictive analytics platforms for Wipro's global enterprise clients.
Job Overview
As a Wipro Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact data science projects, from stakeholder problem framing and data strategy through model development, MLOps deployment, and business value realization — serving as the technical anchor for multi-person data science delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data science project workstreams for Wipro enterprise clients — owning problem definition, data requirements, modeling, and deployment milestones
- Develop advanced ML models including gradient boosting, deep neural networks, transformer-based NLP models, and time-series forecasting
- Guide junior data scientists in modeling best practices, code quality, and model validation methodologies
- Architect end-to-end ML solutions on cloud platforms (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP) aligned with client infrastructure
- Present model insights, business impact, and technical trade-offs to senior client stakeholders
- Contribute to Wipro's AI360 thought leadership, reusable AI assets, and internal IP development
Requirements & Skills
- M.Tech/M.Sc./Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field preferred
- 5–8 years of data science experience with a strong track record of business-impactful model deployments
- Expert Python skills with hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks and LLM fine-tuning (Hugging Face, LangChain)
- Strong statistical background including Bayesian methods, causal inference, and experimental design
- Experience with cloud ML platforms and MLOps tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker Pipelines)
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills — ability to translate complex model outputs into actionable business recommendations
