About This Role

Infosys is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join its AI and Analytics practice, building machine learning models and data-driven solutions that help global clients transform their businesses through the power of data.

Job Overview

As an Infosys Data Scientist, you will work on end-to-end data science projects — from problem framing and data exploration to model development, validation, and deployment — for clients across banking, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics industries.

Role Context

Infosys's AI and Analytics unit deploys data scientists across client engagements worldwide. This role is primarily remote-friendly, with occasional client engagement travel. Infosys invests heavily in continuous AI/ML learning through its Lex platform and global AI Center of Excellence programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) for client use cases in predictive analytics, NLP, and computer vision
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and statistical hypothesis testing on large datasets
• Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines for model training and inference on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Translate complex business problems into data science problem statements and communicate model findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Implement MLOps practices including model versioning, drift monitoring, and retraining pipelines
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to Infosys's internal AI knowledge-sharing and capability-building initiatives

Requirements & Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 2–5 years of hands-on data science experience with Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large structured and semi-structured datasets
• Experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Vertex AI) is highly preferred
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning algorithms, and model evaluation metrics
• Strong communication skills for presenting data insights and model results to business stakeholders
