Role Context

CrowdStrike's security engineers work on threat detection logic, endpoint agent software, cloud security posture, or adversary intelligence platforms. Associate engineers are embedded in small teams and take on meaningful work quickly — your work directly stops real adversaries targeting major governments and enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and tune detection rules and behavioral indicators for the Falcon sensor
  • Develop security automation scripts and tooling using Python or Go
  • Analyze malware samples and attacker techniques to improve threat coverage
  • Contribute to cloud security features for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Review security logs, alerts, and telemetry to identify false positives and coverage gaps
  • Collaborate with threat intelligence analysts to convert TTPs into detection logic

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (2024–2026 grad)
  • Scripting skills in Python or Go for security tooling and automation
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, Windows internals, or endpoint behavior
  • Understanding of networking, malware analysis basics, or threat hunting concepts
  • CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent certification is a plus
